WHY YONDER?

Yonder is an Old English word that means over there, beyond, further. It's a familiar term in folk music, which is one of my favourite genres, and one that mirrors my practice in interesting ways.

I love folk for its narrative craft. Folk holds a mirror to the world to address the concerns of everyday people. It reveals stories steeped in insight and vision. It recognises complexity without collapsing into cynicism; it can be sobering, but mostly it’s hopeful - it offers perspective but never grasps at easy answers out of fear of uncertainty. That’s folk. And that’s Yonder.  My work with clients is about looking beyond, holding up a mirror to discover tomorrows that are grounded in reality, and ringing with imagination.
